The Combination of Ayurveda and Science

Ayurveda focuses on the science of life. More specifically, it is a combination of science, philosophy, and religion. In Ayurveda, the whole journey of life is regarded as special and sacred. With the right scientific perspective of human life, Ayurveda can work to tackle the complex capabilities of every human mind and body. Moreover, the philosophy part of Ayurveda deals with a series of conceptual systems involving balance, disorder, and health and diseases. Any health issue is a result of interconnectedness between personality, self, and everything related to mental, emotional, and spiritual. In short, there must be a balance between the purpose for healing, feelings, thought, and physical actions.

Ayurvedic Body Types

Ayurveda is based on three basic energy types, which are known as doshas. All these three doshas combine to create different things in the ecosystem like climate, species, and individuals. Now, let’s have a look at the three doshas and their functions that helps our body to work.

  • Vata Dosha

Vata is composed of air elements and space. It also refers to the energy that links creativity and flexibility. Other than that, it also controls bodily functions that are associated with any kind of motion within the body. It can be blood circulations, blinking, breathing, heartbeat, cellular mobility, and many more. An imbalance in the Vata dosha occurring in the body can be the result of fear and anxiety.

  • Pitta Dosha

Pitta dosha is composed of waterand fire elements. It also refers to an amalgamation of th hot, light, liquid, sharp, oily and subtle qualities. Pitta is not mobile or stable but it still controls the body’s metabolic systems like digestion, nutrition, absorption, and temperature of the body. When the pitta dosha is in balance, it leads to intelligence and contentment. If there is an imbalance in the pitta, it can cause ulcers and anger.

  • Kapha Dosha

Kapha dosha is composed of the earth and water elements. It refers to the energy that provides strength and solidity to all things and offers the required cohesiveness to maintain a particular form. Moreover, it helps to keep control of the body growth and supplies water to all the parts of the body. In other words, it keeps the body cells hydrated and moisturizes the skin.
